Candlelight: Mozart’s Musical Moments

The Pontifical Basilica of San Miguel will once again be filled with the soft light of candles and the sounds of Mozart. The Candlelight concert series invites the public to an intimate evening in which the composer’s most celebrated works sound with special intensity.

Guests can look forward to a one-hour programme in one of Madrid’s most beautiful churches. The programme includes «Eine kleine Nachtmusik», the famous «Rondo alla turca», the delicate Ave Verum Corpus and excerpts from the Requiem. The music will be performed by the Cuarteto Matrice string quartet, which will create a calm, almost intimate atmosphere of immersion in classical music.
