Another welcoming summer cinema has opened its doors in the idyllic garden.

Summer cinemas are a true escape during the hot Spanish summer. Madrid residents immerse themselves in the coolness of the night, relax in the shade and enjoy their favourite films surrounded only by stars and a breeze. One such cool haven is the cinema at the Museo Reina Sofía. It has prepared screenings of more than 15 national and international films in one of the most charming and little-known gardens of the Sabatini Building.
This year, the programme’s concept is built around the title ‘Cinema Thinking about Cinema’. Under this banner, Pedro Almodóvar’s film ‘All About My Mother’ will be shown, also coinciding with its 25th anniversary. The screening series includes nine thematic programmes. Some of the most interesting are ‘The Creation of the Actress On and Off Screen’, ‘The Sinister Side of Hollywood’, ‘The Director as a Cursed Artist’ and ‘Cinema as a Way of Living and Feeling’.
You can enjoy the films every Friday and Saturday until 31 August.
