Casa Museo Lope de Vega summer cinema 2026
This July, the nights of the Barrio de las Letras fill with history, jungle, impossible journeys and colonial fictions. Once again, the garden of the Lope de Vega House Museum becomes a small oasis of open-air cinema with a new edition of its summer series.
About this event
In July, the garden of the Lope de Vega House Museum will once again become a setting for summer cinema. On Wednesdays, a series of free screenings related to the exhibition ‘Mujeres de ingenio’, dedicated to women writers and their role in the history of literature, will take place here.
From 1 to 29 July, films addressing in different ways the subject of women's creative work and the conditions in which it developed will be screened. The programme brings together films from different countries and eras, showing the shared difficulties and parallels in the history of literature.
