Drone show for the release of ‘Superman’

This Thursday, Madrid will swap fireworks for synchronised intelligence. At 22:30, the San Isidro fairground site, in the Carabanchel neighbourhood, will be the epicentre of an unprecedented aerial show: 600 drones will perform a luminous choreography to celebrate the return of ‘Superman’ to the big screen.

The show, open to the public with free admission, will combine high-precision technology with visual storytelling. Each drone, equipped with LED lights capable of projecting millions of colours, will be part of a sequence carefully designed to form figures and symbols connected with the superhero’s universe. All of this will be coordinated by RTK geolocation systems and multiple connection antennas that ensure millimetre-precise control in the air.

The experience will not remain merely visual. A guitarist will perform live a selection of chords from the new theme of the film, creating an immersive atmosphere intended to move both long-standing fans and those discovering the character for the first time.

With the film’s release scheduled for Friday 11 July, Madrid is getting ahead and putting on its cape: for one night, the city will not only look at the sky... it will inhabit it.
