Movistar Half Marathon

On 6 April, Madrid will once again host one of the highlights of the running calendar, the Madrid Half Marathon, officially included in the calendar of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) with the prestigious Road Race Label.

The race route runs through the heart of the city, starting on Paseo de la Castellana and finishing on Paseo de Recoletos. The final kilometres take participants through some of Madrid's most emblematic and tourist sites, such as the picturesque slopes of Cuesta de Moyano.

Last year's Half Marathon set a historic participant record, with more than 21,000 runners at the starting line and more than 16,000 athletes at the finish line. However, the course records remain intact. In the men's category, Kenyan Ronald Kiprotich Kirui set the best time in 2021, while in the women's category the record is held by Winfrieda Moraa Moseti, who ran the course in 1 hour 07 minutes 22 seconds in 2022.
