The best wheelchair basketball returns to Barcelona with the 32nd Trofeo Internacional Ciudad de Barcelona and the 15th Memorial Joan Palau i Francàs, an event now firmly established in this sport’s international calendar. On 11 and 12 July, CEM Espanya Industrial will bring together some of the best national teams and sides in a tournament combining high-level competition and sporting spirit.
About this event
The Catalonia team will face Ireland, France and the Bulgarian team Sofia Balkans in an initial league-format phase to be played entirely on Saturday. Sunday will bring the decisive moment with the finals, where the championship positions will be determined.
Beyond the results, the tournament highlights the talent, strategy and intensity of a discipline that stands out for its spectacle and competitive capacity. Each match offers a breakneck pace and demonstrates the very high technical level of its protagonists.
With free admission, the championship invites the public to enjoy a weekend of inclusive, top-level sport. In addition, the Catalan team’s Saturday matches and the two Sunday finals can be followed live through the federation’s YouTube channel.
