97th Travessia al Port de Barcelona — 7th TICB Open Water
On 20 September, from 8:30 onwards, Moll de Bosch i Alsina will once again host one of the city’s most emblematic sporting events: the 97th Travessia al Port de Barcelona.
About this event
With almost a century of history, this event has become the great popular celebration of open-water swimming, bringing together swimmers of all ages and levels on a unique course by the sea.
After the popular competitions, the day will reach its most international moment with the 7th Trofeo Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona de Aigües Obertes, a stage of the European Aquatics Open Water Cup that will attract some of the continent’s best specialists. It will be an opportunity to see elite athletes in action as they test their endurance in an incomparable urban setting.
As in previous editions, the Travessia will also host a scoring event for the Copa de España, which this year celebrates its 19th edition. In doing so, Barcelona reinforces its role as a benchmark in the national and international open-water calendar.
