All Saints’ Day is a characteristic autumn festival. During this day, tradition includes eating chestnuts and making panellets. It is also a date dedicated to remembering the deceased, with visits to cemeteries and floral offerings.

The festival is divided into two days: 1 November, focused on chestnuts and panellets, and 2 November, to honour the deceased, marked by theatrical performances.
As All Saints’ Day approaches, the days become colder and shorter, and nature seems to enter a period of rest after the summer. Since ancient times, various cultures have established commemorative ceremonies for the deceased around these dates, inheriting this festival from a Celtic celebration known as Semain. The Celts honoured the deceased on 1 November, when the darkest period of the year began, believing in the connection between the world of the living and that of the dead.
