Sant Jordi at Casa Batlló
On 21, 22 and 23 April, Casa Batlló becomes one of Barcelona’s most evocative Sant Jordi settings. Its façade, covered in roses, transforms Passeig de Gràcia into an image that blends architecture and tradition, drawing those who seek to rediscover the legend from another perspective.

Far from being merely a decorative gesture, the building reveals a narrative hidden in its forms. The cross crowning the roof is interpreted as Sant Jordi’s sword, while the wavy tiles recall the dragon’s scales. The arches recreate the beast’s belly, and the balconies — which evoke skulls — suggest the monster’s victims. There is even a flower-shaped balcony associated with the princess, and columns that resemble bones, as if the whole house took part in the story.
