Presentation gala for the 40th 8 March–Maria Aurèlia Capmany Award
On Monday 9 March, at 17:30, the Saló de Cent will host the presentation gala for the 40th 8 March–Maria Aurèlia Capmany Award, an established fixture in the city’s feminist calendar. During the event, the winning project of this edition, held under the motto “Let’s break stereotypes”, will be announced.
About this event
The award, promoted by Barcelona City Council, is aimed this year at supporting initiatives that promote positive actions to eradicate gender stereotypes and move towards a fairer, more equal society. The call has a single category, with an award endowed with 15,000 euros, granted by a jury of experts.
Beyond the financial recognition, the ceremony symbolises the institution’s commitment to transformative projects that challenge ingrained patterns and open up new perspectives. As part of the 8M celebrations, the gala becomes a space to showcase proposals capable of turning discourse into concrete action.
