The Cathedral nativity scene
In the spiritual heart of the city, Barcelona Cathedral’s nativity scene offers a unique experience of contemplation and reflection. This traditional Christmas installation, located in the cloister garden, invites visitors to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of peace and tradition from 26 November to 8 January.
About this event
Access to the nativity scene is through the Santa Eulalia door, on Calle del Bisbe, where visitors can witness a detailed representation of the Nativity in a setting that combines Gothic architecture with the serenity of the cloister. This arrangement not only enriches the experience visually, but also enhances the spiritual symbolism of the installation.
Visiting hours have been designed to facilitate access on both working days and public holidays. From Monday to Saturday and on the eves of public holidays, the nativity scene can be visited from 10:00 to 13:30 and from 16:30 to 19:15. On Sundays and public holidays, opening hours are from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 16:30 to 19:15, allowing everyone interested to find a time to enjoy this tradition.
The Cathedral nativity scene is presented as a haven of calm and beauty, a place where history and devotion intertwine to create a space for reflection and celebration during the Christmas season.
