Barcelona will pay tribute to Antoni Gaudí with a grand popular-culture procession filling the streets with music, tradition and symbolism. Framed within the Gaudí Year, the event commemorates two especially significant milestones: the completion of the Tower of Jesus at the Sagrada Familia and the centenary of the architect’s death, who transformed the image of the city forever.
About this event
The celebration will bring together some of the most representative expressions of Catalan popular culture on a route connecting several settings linked to the modernist legacy. The parade will leave Casa Batlló, continue to Casa Milà and proceed along Passeig de Sant Joan before culminating in front of the Sagrada Familia, on a route that will turn the urban space into a great festive stage.
