Christmas at Tibidabo

Christmas at Tibidabo does not merely decorate a park: it transforms it. For weeks, Barcelona’s summit becomes a small winter universe where iconic attractions and festive creatures coexist under the same glow. The arrival itself is a declaration of intent: a 12-metre fir tree welcomes visitors in the Área Panorámica, while the Giradabo, the Carousel and the Cuca de Llum debut lighting that makes everything seem freshly stepped out of a storybook.

This year, the star new feature is in Plaça dels Somnis: a sustainable ice rink, made from synthetic materials and designed in a circular shape, where it is possible to skate without cold, but with all the magic. Access is included with admission, and those who only want to skate can do so with a 5-euro ticket. Skating around the Christmas decorations becomes a ritual of its own, almost hypnotic.

For the youngest —and for those who still retain some childhood— three special presences arrive. Pare Noel, ready to hear wishes; a patge reial, guardian of letters and confidences; and the unexpected Krampus, who appears each year to remind us that fantasy also has a mischievous side.

Tibidabo’s mascots, celebrating ten years, present a Christmas show in Plaça del Jardí at 16:30 and will make several appearances for photographs. They are joined by the follets de Nadal, who will tour the park in travelling shows that appear when least expected.

The classics also return: the Tibimarionetarium de Nadal, with its mix of music, snow and puppets, and the TibidAvis, three days —22, 23 and 24 December— on which grandmothers and grandfathers are admitted free with up to two grandchildren under 16 years old.
