Eleventh of September demonstration
Every 11 September, Catalonia’s National Day becomes a day of collective assertion. This year, the demonstration called in Barcelona by the Catalan National Assembly (ANC), Òmnium Cultural, the Council of the Republic, Intersindical and CIEMEN will bring together thousands of people under the slogan «More reasons than ever. Independence».

About this event
The mobilisation will denounce three issues which, according to the organisers, affect the country’s future: fiscal plunder, the marginalisation of the Catalan language and the denationalisation of Catalonia. The call stresses that these problems justify, more than ever, the need for a state of their own.
The march will begin at 17.14 h at Pla de Palau, a symbol of the start of a collective journey. From there, demonstrators will proceed along Paseo de Isabel II and Paseo de Colom, arriving at number 1 La Rambla, where the main stage will be located and the event will conclude.
Following a route that links emblematic spaces in the city, the demonstration is presented as a political and social cry intended to reaffirm the commitment to Catalonia’s independence and the defence of its identity.
