2026 8M Demonstration by the Coordinadora 8M Movimiento Feminista de Barcelona

The demonstration stands as a cry against violence and exploitation, with an agenda that openly challenges the complicity of neoliberal policies that minimise feminist struggles under the guise of free choice. In an act of courage and clarity, Barcelona’s radical feminists take the initiative to denounce the interference of sexist ideologies in spaces that should provide protection and female empowerment.

With more than twenty activist organisations united under its banner, from Feministes de Catalunya to Partido Feminista de España, the Coordinadora 8M is a mosaic of voices representing the diversity and strength of the feminist movement in Catalonia. These organisations not only advocate local resistance but also forge alliances nationally and internationally, with groups such as Women’s Declaration International amplifying their call to action.

A definitive end to sexist violence, with a real count of victims and effective protection.

Abolition of prostitution and sexual exploitation, with laws that punish exploiters rather than victims.

The fight against human trafficking and the prohibition of reproductive exploitation.

Equal pay and an end to job insecurity that disproportionately affects women.

Protection of women’s sport, preventing male participation in competitions intended for women.

Reform of a justice system that still favours patriarchy, putting women and their children at risk.

Route and Associated Events:

The meeting point will be Plaça Catalunya at 12:00, from where the march will pass through the city via Via Laietana to reach Plaça Sant Jaume, where a powerful manifesto will be read and acts of denunciation and celebration of feminist resistance will take place.
