The Christmas Carassa
During the Christmas celebrations, the parade of Barcelona’s Carassa takes centre stage at the Santa Llúcia Fair.
About this event
This unusual figure walks around the fair and the streets near the Cathedral and the Gothic Quarter, handing out sweets to boys and girls.
Each day of the festival, a different group from Ciutat Vella accompanies the Carassa, making it dance to the rhythm of gralles and drums, turning this event into a unique festive tradition.
