Opening celebration of the Biblioteca Sarrià-J. V. Foix

The day will begin at 10:30 with the itinerant show «Rats», an interpretation of the classic tale «The Pied Piper of Hamelin», performed by the renowned company Campi Qui Pugui. Next, from 11:00 to 12:00, there will be performances by various local groups such as the Coral del Centro Parroquial de Sarrià and the Castellers de Sarrià, as well as a special storytelling session and poetry readings from the work of J. V. Foix.

To sweeten the gathering, free hot chocolate will be served from 11:00 to 13:00, and the official opening ceremony, presided over by Mayor Jaume Collboni, will take place at 12:00. The afternoon will continue with more literary magic at 13:00 in the Carme Serrallonga i Calafell auditorium, with a show by the company Celso y Frana, inspired by «The Book Thief».

The afternoon activities will include more itinerant storytelling and a tribute to the poet J. V. Foix at 17:00, at which figures from the cultural sphere will pay tribute to his legacy, emphasising the influence of his work on contemporary literature.

The festival will culminate with performances by the Folk Group of the Can Ponsic Municipal School of Music, and the day will close with the traditional correfoc performed by the Diables i Diablets de Sarrià.
