10th anniversary closing celebration at Casa Museo Amatller
Casa Museo Amatller is preparing to bid farewell to its tenth anniversary with a celebration that will turn the building into a small Modernista universe full of life. On 20 and 21 December, the doors of this iconic house will remain open throughout, inviting the public on an exceptional journey through the history of the Amatller family and the spaces that shaped their daily lives.

The visit will allow visitors to enter the main floor, preserved exactly as the family inhabited it at the start of the 20th century, a place where Puig i Cadafalch’s architecture displays its full decorative language and every room retains details that speak of a way of living, collecting and understanding art.
As an extraordinary conclusion to the anniversary, the Casa Museo will also open the fourth floor, Antoni Amatller’s former photographic studio. This space, usually inaccessible, reveals to visitors the creative laboratory of the industrialist and photographer, a devotee of the new visual language who, through his curiosity and rigour, left a decisive mark on the history of Catalan photography. There, among cameras, light and glass, one senses the restless gaze that captured cities, journeys and everyday scenes with a sensitivity ahead of its time.
It will be a weekend to explore, discover and celebrate: a tribute to ten years dedicated to preserving not only a Modernista building, but the living memory of a family and its cultural legacy. An open invitation for everyone, from 6 to 99 years old, to enter the intimate magic of Casa Amatller at Christmas.
