32nd Festival of Christmas Traditions and Customs in Catalonia

The celebration will begin at 11:00 with a presentation of the scheduled activities, immediately followed by an emotional tribute dance. At 11:15, Esbart Català de Dansaires, with its children's and youth sections, will fill the atmosphere with winter and Christmas-cycle dances, showing the skill and passion of the young dancers.

Puppets will also play a central role and, at 12:05, the Títeres Sebastià Vergés company will present ‘El Nadal i el Tió’, a performance that is sure to delight adults and children alike. The morning will culminate in a Christmas, swing and dance session at 12:50, inviting everyone to move to the rhythm of festive music.

At 13:15, the 2025 Feriante de Honor award will be presented to the Àliga de Barcelona, a moment of recognition of its contribution to local traditions.

In the afternoon, from 16:30 to 19:30, the giant Tió activity will take place, where boys and girls under 12 will have the opportunity to take part in this traditional Catalan custom of ‘making the tió poop’. In addition to the fun, they will receive a sweet and an explanatory document about Christmas traditions, enriching their understanding and appreciation of local culture.
