International Children’s Rights Day

The district’s children’s centres have prepared a programme that places play at the heart of discovery and connection. There will be free experimentation spaces, where younger children can explore at their own pace; a woodcutting area for creating as a family; a hessian workshop that revives a technique full of textures and possibilities; and a corner dedicated to board games, perfect for challenging one another, collaborating and sharing.

The day has one purpose: to remind us that all children have the right to play, creativity, expression and to grow up in an environment that listens to them. This celebration turns that message into a tangible, everyday experience, open to any family that wants to join in.

The activity is completely free and designed to be enjoyed without rushing, reinforcing the idea that the street can also be a place of care, community and learning. An afternoon to play and, at the same time, uphold rights that build the future.
