«Correm junts» charity inclusive race
Next Sunday 26 October, the streets of Sarrià will fill with energy, commitment and excitement for a new edition of «Correm junts» – Milla de Sarrià, the inclusive race that celebrates sport as a tool for equality.
About this event
This one-mile race (1,609 metres) invites people with and without disabilities to share the experience of running on equal terms, measuring their effort and joy on the same starting line. Runners of all ages and genders take part in a route that shows the real goal is to move forward together.
Those who sign up as charity runners will have the challenge and privilege of accompanying a person with a severe intellectual disability, turning every step into a gesture of support, respect and companionship.
The funds raised this year will go to active-ageing projects promoted by Aspasim, which works to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities in their homes and day-care centres.
