Montjuïc–Tibidabo Race
The Montjuïc–Tibidabo Race is a vibrant challenge linking two of Barcelona’s landmarks: Montjuïc Castle and Parc de l’Oreneta. With two distances available, this competition invites both experienced runners and new enthusiasts to enjoy a unique experience through the city.
About this event
The most demanding option is a 21 km route that combines asphalt and trails, challenging participants with an elevation gain of 640 metres. This route not only tests physical endurance but also offers unparalleled views of the city and its natural surroundings.
The 10 km route, on the other hand, is entirely on asphalt and has an elevation gain of 190 metres, offering a more accessible alternative, ideal for those seeking a competitive but more moderate experience.
This event is not only a race, but also a tribute to the «Friendship Race» conceived by entrepreneur and athlete Francesc Mates. Today, reinvented by his daughter Myrna, it continues to promote a spirit of camaraderie among all runners.
At the end of the race, participants will gather for a fraternal event, where bonds of friendship and love of sport are celebrated with the prize-giving and shared refreshments, bringing a day of effort and fellowship to a close.
