Festival «Benvinguts a Pagès»
Benvinguts a Pagès brings the Catalan countryside closer to people who want to know what lies behind the food that reaches the table every day. During its major open-house weekend, agricultural holdings, farms and workshops welcome visitors and show first-hand how their producers work.
About this event
The initiative was born in 2016 with a specific purpose: to give visibility to Catalan farmers and restore the connection between products and their place of origin. The visits make it possible to learn about crops, animals and production processes, talk to those who work in the sector and buy food directly from the farms.
The proposal is rounded out by restaurants, accommodation and activities linked to local and nearby produce, turning the day into an opportunity to discover the area through its gastronomy as well.
La Festa visits are free and require prior booking. In addition, since 2021, Benvinguts a Pagès Tot l’Any has maintained a year-round programme of paid visits and workshops at different Catalan farms.
