Party «Asia at Sant Jordi 2026»
On 23 April, Casa Asia celebrates Sant Jordi with a proposal that expands the festival's usual map. Among books and encounters, the space fills with titles covering Asian gastronomy, history, philosophy, poetry and spirituality, inviting visitors to explore other ways of telling the world.
About this event
During the day, authors of Asian origin sign their works and spend time with readers, turning every copy into more than a purchase. This gesture is joined by a carefully considered detail: a special bookplate illustrated by the Vietnamese artist Kim Ly, conceived for this edition and intended to accompany every book as a personal mark.
The celebration also incorporates symbols delicately reinterpreted. The classic Sant Jordi roses coexist with origami versions and small paper dragons created by Yuko Nakajima, pieces that translate tradition into another language without losing its essence.
In this way, Casa Asia offers a Sant Jordi that crosses cultures without fanfare, where reading becomes a meeting point and tradition opens up to new voices.
