Autumn activities at Zoo de Barcelona

From 1 November, children and adults alike will be able to enjoy a new educational activity focused on bats, those fascinating flying mammals. The workshop «Allies of Bats» will reveal secrets about how these animals manage to detect insects in the dark, enriching the visit with curiosities and striking facts about their nocturnal life.

At the same time, a special route around the grounds will be offered, allowing visitors to get a close look at the Zoo team's daily work devoted to animal welfare. This route, which starts at 11:30 in front of the Zoo offices, is a unique opportunity to learn about the care and protection of the Zoo's inhabitants, providing a more intimate and detailed view of the attention they receive.

In addition, visitors who come dressed as a castanyera or castanyer on 31 October and 1 November will receive chestnuts as a gift, adding a traditional touch to the visit with a chestnut and sweet-potato stall in Dama del Paraigua square.

For fans of challenges and adventures, the Zoo is reintroducing its popular escape room in Espai Invertebrats. This activity is not only a mental challenge, but also an innovative way to explore and learn about the ecological importance of invertebrates. Participants, guided by an educator, must solve puzzles to «escape» from the room, discovering the essential work of spiders, beetles and other invertebrates in our ecosystems.

Each of these activities is designed to enrich the experience of all visitors and deepen awareness of environmental conservation, making Zoo de Barcelona a place where learning and fun come together this autumn.
