South Asian traditional festival «Teez Mela: Punjab visits Encants»
On 13 August, the usual bustle of Encants will transform into a setting full of vivid colours, spicy aromas and sounds that invite you to travel without leaving Barcelona. Teez Mela arrives: Punjab visits Encants, an event where South Asian tradition mixes with the pulse of the city.
About this event
From 11:00 to 15:00, the multi-purpose room will become a cultural salon: talks that open windows onto other realities, a competition where talent takes the form of music and dance, and choreography that tells the stories of whole generations. Meanwhile, outdoors, between 12:00 and 14:00, the public will be able to have their skin painted with delicate henna designs, discover the elegance of Punjabi outfits made with fabrics from the market itself or learn to write their name in Sanskrit, tracing letters that look like small works of art.
Teez Mela is not only an event: it is an invitation to cross borders with the senses, celebrate diversity as a shared wealth and find, among fabrics, words and rhythms, the spark that unites cultures.
