Fira de Sant Tomàs i Reis on Gran Via

Feria de Reyes y Santo Tomás was held for the first time in 1877. At that time, it was one of the few places where local people could buy toys and sweets. Things have changed a great deal since then.

Now visitors to the fair can stroll among 200 stalls and buy clothes, various accessories, costume jewellery and original decorations. One of Barcelona residents' favourite stalls are the churro stands. Their hypnotic smell tempts every visitor, especially the churros with hot chocolate that help you warm up.

The two best days to visit the fair are Saint Stephen's Day (26 December), which is a public holiday and when other shops are closed, and the evening/night of Three Kings (from 5 to 6 January). It is the last night the fair opens and it extends its hours until dawn.
