Twenty years ago, many of the technologies that now work in the background were barely part of everyday life. «Tecnología [in]visible» proposes looking back to understand how that change came about and the role Mobile World Congress has played in driving digital transformation.
About this event
The exhibition turns concepts such as connectivity, the cloud and data into concrete examples. The route shows everything from connected vehicles, smart banking and systems for monitoring crops to advances applied to caring for people: rehabilitation with robotics, digital twins for personalised medicine and assistance robots for older people.
There is also space for technologies that change the way people communicate and experience the world, such as universal real-time translation and live immersive experiences.
But the exhibition does not present innovation as a catalogue of solutions. It also raises questions about its consequences and the ethical dilemmas that accompany these advances. At the end, a participatory installation reverses the roles: visitors can leave their own idea about the future they would like to build.
