Since 26 March 2025, Monestir de Pedralbes has hosted the art exhibition «Luces en la Luz», a visual reinterpretation of the Canticle of the Creatures, written by Saint Francis of Assisi in 1225 and created by Sister Isaura Marcos. Through photographs, the exhibition explores nature through reflections and colours.
The work of Sister Isaura forms part of the cultural tradition of the Poor Clares of Pedralbes, a community founded in 1326 and recognised for its intellectual refinement. Not only is the 800th anniversary of the Franciscan canticle, a hymn to life as a reflection of the divine, being celebrated, but the 700th anniversary of the monastery building, which will take place next year, in 2026, is also being honoured.
