‘Llano de Barcelona 2026-2035’ Model and ‘making of’ Exhibition
The Llano de Barcelona 2026-2035 model turns the city into a territory that can be observed, explored and understood at a glance. Printed entirely in 3D, this large-format piece is not only an urban representation: it is a tool for thinking about Barcelona on the scale of detail and, at the same time, from the metropolitan perspective.
About this event
With its 84 square metres and 1,204 pieces assembled through digital printing, the model covers the space from the old mouth of the Llobregat to the new port of Badalona. At a scale of 1:1,500, it makes it possible to read the relief, the urban fabric and the links between municipalities such as Barcelona, L’Hospitalet, Esplugues and Sant Adrià, as well as large areas of their metropolitan surroundings. The result is a three-dimensional map that invites us to analyse how the city has grown, how it is organised today and where it is headed.
The exhibition dedicated to the making of reveals the technical and creative process behind this construction: from data collection to the digital manufacture of each piece. Beyond its visual impact, the proposal functions as an interactive platform for the public, designed to explain the urban past, interpret the present and open conversations about the future of Barcelona.
