Exhibition «Hermenèutica d’una DANA: Beatriz Mínguez de Molina»
On 4 March, the TPK Art i Pensament Contemporani art centre opens «Hermenèutica d’una DANA», a project by artist and architect Beatriz Mínguez de Molina that observes a recent catastrophe through the slow time of art.
About this event
The exhibition begins with the DANA of 29 October 2024, but it does not seek to reconstruct the immediate impact of the tragedy. Through a video installation and large-format photographs, the artist focuses on what remains when the urgency of the news disappears: mud clinging to the landscape, human traces and everyday life trying to put itself back together.
The proposal offers a different reading of the disaster. Rather than images of devastation, it raises questions about how communities respond, what happens between the administration and lived reality, and how spontaneous support networks emerge when everything seems to break down. The work shifts the focus from visual shock to the ethics of reconstruction.
The project is expanded with the participation of researcher Jorge Luis Marzo, who will analyse how political and social crises are represented in contemporary visual culture. The exhibition, open until 24 April 2026, also includes meetings and guided visits conceived as spaces for collective conversation.
