In a world where images no longer merely show us reality, but make it, “The Art of Navigating. How to Get Lost in a World of Images” proposes immersing oneself—without a map or instructions—in a visual ocean that watches us as much as we watch it.
About this event
This group exhibition brings together international artists such as Sara Bezovšek, James Bridle, Josèfa Ntjam, Alan Butler, Giath Taha, Kyriaki Goni and Roc Herms, among many others, to explore how photography has mutated: from testimony to tool, from memory to algorithm, from static art to active interface.
Far from being contemplated, here it is navigated. Images pass through video games, social networks, self-driving cars, digital cartographies and even the constellations of outer space. It is not about looking, but about understanding what they show us when they think we are not paying attention.
This exhibition offers neither certainties nor destinations. It is a visual itinerary that invites you to get lost in order to look again. A route without GPS through the territory of the intangible. A broken map that reveals the invisible codes of the present. Navigating has never been so urgent. Nor getting lost, so necessary.
