Exhibition «Després del vendaval. Rehabitar les esquerdes desde l’acció col·lectiva»
The exhibition presents itself as a powerful visual and political manifesto, exploring the margins where systemic violence is exercised and rights are disregarded through the action of seven collectives. In this space, the groups’ political and poetic practices challenge invisibility and subvert the limits of what is normative, occupying and expanding liminal spaces and institutional cracks.
About this event
This project critically interrogates the foundations of cultural, social and political institutions, using art as a tool to pierce the walls of museums and bring protest into their interiors. Themes such as autonomy, agency, sovereignty and resistance are explored, in an attempt to give voice to those who are usually marginalised from dominant discourse.
Over ten months of collaborative work, these collectives have unfolded a canvas of vital issues ranging from pain to ecology, via memory and resistance, all in an attempt to inhabit the spaces of others, listen to their bodies and live radically through alternative practices.
The exhibition, developed in continuous dialogue between the social, urban, technological and vital, offers a space to stir up conversations, allowing the exchange of perspectives and fostering an atmosphere of active listening. This intervention, rich in content and critique, invites the public to reflect on who is represented by existing rights and who is excluded, marking a crucial meeting point for discussion on the right to participation and creation in the cultural sphere.
