Building on this idea, Juana Dolores explores the concept of love within the revolutionary tradition, both historically and theoretically. The artist draws parallels between class resentment and hatred and those found in the realm of personal relationships, bringing emotional connections into the political sphere.
The exhibition poses a central question: what would love be like under communism, and how would it differ from love under capitalism? From a present marked, according to the artist, by capitalist crisis and the rise of new fascisms, her response places love for the revolution at the heart of her thinking and artistic practice.
