The intimate universe of Salvador Dalí is revealed in the exhibition «Intimate Dalí», a photographic journey that unveils the surrealist genius’s closest and least public side.

Through the camera of Jaques Léonard, a privileged witness, the visitor enters scenes in which the painter appears stripped of the theatricality that made him famous, showing a humanity often eclipsed by his persona.
The meeting between Dalí and Léonard was no coincidence: the textile industrialist Albert Puig Palau, a great lover of the arts, fostered the link that soon turned into complicity. From the early 1950s, Léonard developed a series of reports that combined the chronicler’s curiosity with the visual artist’s sensitivity, building a unique archive of images that oscillate between the intimate and the documentary.
The exhibition thus offers a window into Dalí’s life, at a time when the painter was consolidating his position as a universal figure, but was also seeking spaces for personal retreat. Far from the grand stages, these photographs capture his everyday life, his spontaneous gestures and that blurred boundary between man and myth.
