International Museum Day and Museum Night

Barcelona becomes a living gallery for one night: more than 95 museums and cultural spaces will open their doors to show their collections in the light of the streetlamps, while the city’s streets fill with music, performances and workshops. On the night of 16 May, art will be a reason for discoveries, encounters and small miracles for the whole family, from classic museums to unusual contemporary spaces, with interactive tours and light shows.

On this special night, you can visit museums such as:

Casa de la Barceloneta 1761: guided tours of the historic house and discovery of everyday life in the 18th century.

Centro Jujol – Can Negre: artistic tours and creative workshops.

Collection of Funeral Carriages: guided tours of a unique collection of historic carriages.

Espacio Corberó: light installations and shows.

Fundació Joan Brossa – Centre for Free Arts: interactive performances and workshops.

Fundació Suñol: guided tours of the exhibitions and creative sessions.

Hospital de Sant Pau: open-air exhibition spaces with commentary.

MhiC – Museum of the History of Immigration in Catalonia: educational visits and interactive activities.

Museum of Archaeology of Catalonia: guided tours and practical workshops.

Museum of Performing Arts: theatrical performances and demonstrations.

Torre Balldovina Museum: guided tours and workshops.

Royal Monastery of Santa María de Pedralbes: guided tour of the monastery.

Casa Batlló: free entry with prior registration, architectural visits and multimedia programmes.
