In the depths of the emblematic Museu Picasso, a time window entitled «Bernard Plossu. Paisajes catalanes de Picasso» emerges, a photographic tribute interweaving the paths of two creative souls: Bernard Plossu and Pablo Picasso. This visual journey, anchored in the Mauri and Meca rooms, immerses us in the Catalan corners Picasso once travelled and which Plossu, with his lens and unique sensibility, has rediscovered for us.
Through the gaze of Plossu, a camera-toting globetrotter and recipient of France’s National Photography award, these landscapes become visual poetry. Places such as Horta de Sant Joan, Gósol, enigmatic Cadaqués and Barcelona’s vibrant streets take on a new life through his lens, telling wordless stories through art and nature.
Plossu, an ardent admirer of Picasso, not only captures the settings but, through the use of Fresson paper, weaves a tapestry of textures that enriches each photograph with a delicate and profound aesthetic.
