Central Exhibition of the UIA World Congress of Architects 2026 ‘Becoming. Architectures for a planet in transition’

The exhibition brings together the work of twelve international teams that, over the past year, have developed research projects through models, prototypes, installations and audiovisual pieces created specifically for this event. Alongside them, around two hundred contributions from architects, researchers and congress speakers offer a broad view of the major challenges facing cities and the territory on a changing planet.

The exhibition also incorporates projects produced by 180 students from the International Emerging Workshop and a selection of prize-winning works from the international student competitions promoted by UNESCO and the UIA.

Far from being conceived as a static display, Becoming is activated every day with open meetings and activities that turn the space into a place for exchanging ideas, reflection and experimentation on the architecture of the present and the future.
