1-day tour of 3 countries: Andorra, France and Spain
Some journeys are measured in kilometres and others in crossed borders. This one-day route proposes the latter: leaving Barcelona in the morning and, before night falls, having passed through Spain, France and Andorra.
About this event
The first stop is Bagà, a small medieval settlement in the heart of the Cadí-Moixeró surroundings. Stone streets, quiet squares and an unhurried pace mark the start of the journey. From there, the route continues towards Ax-les-Thermes, already in French territory, where the landscape changes and thermal waters and mountain architecture appear. It is time to stop, stroll and eat unhurriedly in one of the local restaurants.
The journey continues climbing through the Pyrenees to Andorra. Before reaching the capital, a brief stop at the border crossing allows you to have your passport stamped, a symbolic gesture that sums up the experience. Once in Andorra la Vella, time is divided between open mountain views and the bustle of duty-free shops.
The return journey offers another perspective on the landscape, with valleys and roads tracing the way back to Barcelona. More than a fixed itinerary, the route works as a succession of settings that change language, scale and atmosphere within a few hours.
