Express visits «Women in 1700»
Every Sunday in March, International Women’s Day is commemorated with a singular proposal: the express visits «Women in 1700». This is a free 30-minute guided tour that invites visitors to look at Barcelona at the beginning of the 18th century through the steps and voices of its women residents.
About this event
The activity offers a brief but revealing journey into the past to discover stories of resistance and sisterhood in a city marked by conflicts and transformations. Through small stories, the visit reconstructs everyday scenes and gestures of courage that rarely occupy the centre of historical narrative.
In Catalan and with a compact duration, the proposal offers four sessions each day: at 17:00, 17:30, 18:00 and 18:30. Admission is free, making the experience an accessible opportunity to rediscover the city from a perspective that brings to the foreground those who for centuries remained in the background.
