Visit «La Pedrera & Palau de la Música Catalana»
La Pedrera & Palau de la Música Catalana brings together two buildings that forever changed the way architecture is understood in Barcelona. The experience combines a visit to La Pedrera, Antoni Gaudí’s freest and most monumental work, with a tour of the Palau de la Música Catalana, the great modernist fantasy created by Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
About this event
Both spaces, recognised as UNESCO World Heritage sites, show two different visions of Catalan modernism united by the same obsession: transforming architecture into an emotional experience. At La Pedrera, undulating forms, colour-filled courtyards and a rooftop of impossible chimneys turn the building into a living work that seems to move with the light.
The Palau de la Música, by contrast, surprises from the very first moment with its explosion of stained glass, mosaics and sculptures. The concert hall, bathed in its famous glass skylight, gives the feeling of being inside a piece of music made into architecture.
More than a double visit, the tour offers the chance to discover how Gaudí and Domènech i Montaner imagined a city where art could be part of everyday life. Two buildings, two styles and the same idea of beauty taken to the limit.
