«La Barcelona de Montserrat Roig» offers a walk through the places that shaped the life and work of one of the most important voices in contemporary Catalan literature. Through this itinerary, the city becomes an emotional map from which to discover the writer, journalist and woman committed to her time.

The route passes through some of the places most closely linked to her life, from Plaça de la Universitat to Carrer de Bailèn, crossing Rambla de Catalunya, Gran Via and various streets in Dreta de l'Eixample. Each stop makes it possible to reconstruct personal episodes and understand how Barcelona found its way into her novels, articles and reflections.
Far from offering a simple biographical chronology, the proposal invites us to enter Montserrat Roig's critical and sensitive view of the city she inhabited and wrote about. Her social concerns, the role of women, historical memory and the defence of culture appear intertwined with the urban landscape that accompanied much of her literary output.
