Family Christmas workshop at the Sagrada Familia

The activity begins with a guided visit around the Basilica, focused particularly on the fascinating Nativity façade. Here, young explorers will discover how the sculptural groups represent Christmas traditions, revealing the secrets and stories that Gaudí set in stone.

The route is followed by a crafts workshop where every child will have the opportunity to create their own paper barquillo. This traditional ornament, which reproduces Christmas motifs and scenes, was once used to decorate churches in Catalonia during festivities. In addition to learning about this tradition, each participant will take their creation home as a special memento of their visit.

The workshops are offered in Catalan or Spanish, depending on the chosen time and day, and cost €8 per participant, including admission for the child and up to two accompanying adults. The Sagrada Familia not only opens its doors to admire its architecture, but also becomes a space for learning and fun, where families can create new Christmas traditions together.
