Show «Sigues tortuga»
«Sigues tortuga» is an invitation to slow down and reconsider the obsession with arriving first, although it does not say so through speeches, but through humour, music and characters who make mistakes, stumble and try again. The show, aimed at families, starts from a simple and entertaining premise: a rooster desperate to find work agrees to become a singing teacher… without imagining the challenge awaiting him.
About this event
Its pupils are the Wonderfuls, five well-meaning, affectionate turtles who are utterly convinced that they can win a music competition. Their enthusiasm is as great as their lack of talent, and amid out-of-tune scales and clumsy choreography, the rooster discovers that teaching can be hell… or a miracle.
The play turns this situation into a tender comedy, in which the teacher loses his patience, the turtles regain theirs and, between them all, a simple lesson emerges: moving forward slowly does not mean failing. Sometimes going slowly is the only way to enjoy the journey, to learn, to share and to achieve something like happiness.
With a running time of 50 minutes, in Catalan and recommended for ages 4 and up, «Sigues tortuga» opts for direct, energetic theatre, with songs, rhythm and a tone close to a contemporary fable. It is a production that stresses, without preaching, that life is not a race against anyone, and that victory is largely about knowing how to laugh while moving forward.
