12th Festival Ròmbic Adult Puppet Theatre

The programme combines humour, criticism and a strong visual charge. The starting point will be the premiere of La Dona Calba, which presents Entresòl 1a, a piece that addresses housing insecurity through a precise and evocative stage language. From there, the programme expands with proposals such as Luciano Mansur’s Proyecto Frankenstein, Teatro Arbolé’s Tragedias de amor y cuernos and Clàssics de Jordi Bertran.

Ròmbic does not seek to reproduce formulas, but to put them under tension. Puppets cease to be an illustrative resource and become an expressive tool capable of addressing contemporary themes from a singular perspective.

At that intersection of matter, gesture and narrative, the festival poses an implicit question: what stories can be told when the gaze shifts and objects are allowed to come to life.
