«Loop» show

«Loop» starts from a question that many people ask themselves without saying it out loud: what mark do we leave on our children, even when we try to do things well?

In this play, father and daughter carry things that were never said, even though they have shared a space for years. And that mixture, between closeness and distance, runs through everything. At times, discomfort; nevertheless, what unites them is stronger than what separates them.

The play moves between different times to show how memories and decisions from the past continue to influence who they are today. It speaks of how difficult it is to raise children, how easy it is to fail, and how, many times, love is not enough if one does not know how to express it. Living under the same roof for years does not guarantee that one knows the other, and sometimes does not even make dialogue easier.

For Madaula, being a father is like playing «set i mig»: if you go over, you lose; if you fall short, you lose too. The doubt over when to insist or let things be runs through the whole play. For her part, Bofill describes «Loop» as a story about the difficulty of letting go, about the emotional weight of a goodbye, and about that invisible thread that continues to unite parents and children even when they no longer live under the same roof. It is a memorable play that stays with you forever.
