La Promesa begins as a nostalgic 1990s party and ends up becoming something far more unpredictable. What begins with impossible costumes, recognisable songs and shared drinks takes an unexpected turn when Paula, the hostess, reveals a decision as absurd as it is unsettling: she has poisoned all the guests. The question is no longer how the night will end, but why she has reached that point.

The play turns a gathering of friends into a race against time where humour and chaos go hand in hand. Amid suspicions, confessions and an impossible clue game, cracks begin to appear in relationships that seemed solid, and secrets that had been waiting too long to emerge.
Behind the irreverent comedy and fast pace, another idea emerges: that intimate promise one makes to oneself which, over the years, sometimes becomes buried beneath routine, expectations and paths that had never been imagined.
In Catalan and lasting 90 minutes, La Promesa turns a themed party into an explosive mix of humour, tension and unfinished business. Because some gatherings between friends can change everything.
