In «La majordoma», the second act of Josep Maria Miró’s «Tríptic de l'epifania», we enter a story woven with the thread of redemption and confrontation. The play unfolds in a flat, the setting for a departure and a return separated by almost three decades of absence and mystery.
About this event
After leaving her husband and son on the eve of the child’s fourth birthday, the protagonist returns to the home she left behind, but she does so transformed. For years, in a remote mountain village, she was known only as the housekeeper. This seemingly simple title conceals a life of harsh discoveries about power, ambition and the human capacity to devastate what is beautiful and pure.
This encounter is not only a revisiting of broken bonds, but also a mirror reflecting the radical change in the essence of a woman who left as one person and returns as another, shaped by the harsh realities of life outside the warmth of the family home.
«La majordoma» at Sala Heartbreak Hotel invites audiences to reflect on the decisions we make, how they change us and the way we face the consequences of our actions. A piece that delves into the depths of the human psyche, sharply exploring themes of guilt, abandonment and personal transformation.
