A sweltering night in a town in inland Catalonia marks the beginning of a story in which everything seems to be breaking apart. An immigrant woman engaged in prostitution witnesses a tragic accident on the outskirts of a private party. Inside, the political elite hides behind closed doors. Outside, the consequences begin to spread.

At the same time, Ruby, an 18-year-old woman with trap as a way of life and expression, faces justice. Her father, Pere, a man defeated by the years and unfulfilled dreams, sees how his routine world of repairs, farms and silences begins to crack. What he once dreamed of, travelling Route 66 to the Grand Canyon with his family, was buried under years of sacrifices. But when everything seems lost, the improbable happens. An unexpected visit reopens wounds, but also paths. The play argues with bluntness and tenderness that even the smallest acts can change the course of what is established, and that there is still room for transformation, even though we are no longer young.
