“Germans de sang” musical
Germans de sang returns to the stage as one of those musicals that do not lose relevance because they speak of what never stops hurting: origin, inequality and the weight of decisions one does not choose. The story follows two twin brothers separated at birth, raised in opposing realities and unaware of their blood bond. Chance — or fate — brings them together years later, leading them to forge an intense friendship and fall in love with the same woman, pushing them towards an ending as foretold as it is impossible to avoid.

With music and a book by Willy Russell, this legendary title forms part of the history of European musical theatre: since its premiere in 1983, it has exceeded 10,000 performances in the West End and has become a benchmark for its narrative power and emotional honesty. Barcelona first welcomed it in 1994, and today it returns with a new stage vision that leaves its dramatic pulse intact.
Directed by Daniel Anglès, with musical direction by Andreu Gallén, Germans de sang combines memorable songs, carefully crafted staging and a large cast that brings an intimate and social tragedy to life at the same time.
